COMPASSIONATE GOD
Life never ceases to amaze us as a project as we
discover the families of these children, one
such story is that of Albert Mwape.
Eleven-year-old Albert came
to the Project on the 4th of August
2006. According to little Albert he was being
mistreated by his parents that is why he left
for the streets. However, in his second
statement he said he was just playing on the
streets and would have liked to be with his
parents.

Everything took a turn when
the Programmes officer asked him how he was
doing and whether he missed his parents, after
having a long talk with him on the importance of
a family, he explained to her that he really
missed his parents and would really love to be
with them. He was also asked if it was fine if
she knew the place eventually, he led them to
the place, in misisi compound. The mother was so
overjoyed to meet her son that she could not
believe it, she thanked God for sparing her son,
as she did not know were he was.
According to Mrs Chig’andu,
she had taken her son to live with his uncle in
chipata compound. Unfortunately, there was a
dispute in the home that led to Alberts auntie
scolding him. This caused Albert to leave his
Uncles home and head back to his parents home,
unfortunately, along the way he met some boys
that live on the street and made friendship with
them and eventually begun life on the street.
His parents did not know were the boy was until
a team from the project visited them. It was
unbelievable for them because they had reported
this matter to the police and the boy was no
were to be found.
Albert has now been re-united
with his family and has been enrolled in a
private school right their at Misisi compound he
also sat for their end of year exams and came
second in class. As a project, there is no
educational support on our part because this
family is able to take care of the needs of the
child. It is with this background that the
project exists to reintegrate displaced children
with their families and strengthen family
values.
On the 6th of
December,2006 Albert his mother and two brothers
decided to visit the project, from the picture
you can tell that the boy is so happy to be with
his family. It is such a Joy for the project to
have such successes stories and our hope is that
someday every child that is misplaced will find
solace in their homes.
